Sara Sampaio Soares is Head of Energy ā€“ APAC at Liberty. Based in Singapore since 2024, she oversees underwriting strategy and execution across Asiaā€‘Pacific for energy risks, including oil & gas, power generation, renewables and mining.
With 16+ years of technical underwriting experience across downstream energy and power generation, she also helped establish Liberty’s renewables presence in Australia across both construction and operations. Sara began her insurance career in 2009 at a Lloyd’s of London syndicate, progressing from the Underwriting Graduate Scheme into an energy underwriting role.
