Fazil Erwin Alfitri holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Wichita State University, Wichita, Kansas, USA (1988) and received a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University, Pennsylvania, USA (1990).

His career spans over three decades in the energy and power sectors. He was previously a Project Engineer of Mobil Oil (1990-1997), Country Manager of GE Power Systems (1997-2003), Founder and President Director of PT Medco Power Indonesia (2003-2017); appointed as President Director in PT Infra Daya Energia (a wholly owned subsidiary of PT Medco Daya Abadi Lestari, ultimate shareholder of the Medco Energy group companies), President Director of PT Maxpower Indonesia, CEO of Maxpower Group Pte. Ltd (2018-Now).

In May 2024, he was appointed President Director of PT Paiton Energy. He also serves as a Director
in several companies within the MEDCO Group.
