Alastair Campbell is a British author, broadcaster, podcaster and strategist who came to prominence as press secretary and director of communications to former U.K. Prime Minister Tony Blair. In his memoir Blair described Campbell as a “genius” and credited him with devising the New Labour strategy which won three general elections. He has published 21 books, including ten volumes of diaries, four novels, a memoir on depression and an international bestseller, Winners, on the lessons politics, business and sport can learn from each other. He continues to advise governments and progressive politicians in different parts of the world. He also presents the UK’s Number 1 podcast, The Rest Is Politics, alongside former Conservative cabinet minister Rory Stewart. Their slogan is “disagree agreeably.”
