Mark leads RPC’s Insurance and Reinsurance practice in Singapore.
Mark is a commercial dispute resolution lawyer specialising in advising insurers and reinsurers on policy coverage and defence. With over 15 years in international practice in Singapore, he has experience of most major issues encountered by (re)insurers in Asia during that time. Mark’s primary focus is on resolving property, engineering, construction and associated business interruption / DSU claims. He has particular interest in losses in the power generation and energy sectors. Mark is also regularly instructed to advise on, and pursue, complex cross-border subrogated recovery actions.
While he aims to resolve disputes without recourse to litigation, Mark has extensive experience managing large and complex (re)insurance disputes (involving power generation facilities, refineries, petrochemical plants, and other heavy industry) in arbitration, litigation and mediation across Asia and internationally.
