Asia Power Forum / The Agenda

The Asia Power Forum was founded to serve the Asian insurance and reinsurance markets involved in the power generation sector. It is aimed at insurance market professionals; including insurers/reinsurers, brokers, and their power sector clients, as well as technical experts.

This specialist full-day conference, which achieved a capacity/sell-out attendance in 2017 and 2018, focuses on relevant power sector themes, targeted both at those new to the sector alongside seasoned veterans. There will be a mixture of topical presentations on contemporary technological developments and issues, industry challenges and pressures, insurance market conditions, and claims issues. This conference will also provide appropriate networking opportunities.

Event Update / Asia Power Forum 2021

The APF Committee has been monitoring the COVID-19 situation and, in the interest of the safety of all delegates and speakers, has decided to cancel the Asia Power Forum that was rescheduled to be held on Thursday 15 April 2021. Whilst the government may introduce further relaxations for events such as this, we do not believe that APF will be permitted to proceed in a format that will deliver the key networking opportunities that we know our delegates normally enjoy. Furthermore, it looks likely that travel for overseas delegates to attend will continue to prove challenging.

At this time, the committee has decided to try and lock in an event around the same time of year in 2022 and we may look to host a smaller event later in 2021 if it looks like social distancing restrictions would allow it to work well.
