APF 2019 Speakers / Stanley Cochrane
Stanley has been at Swiss Re for almost 30 years, the last five of which have been based in Singapore.
He is Head of Property and Energy for Asia Pacific at Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, the commercial insurance arm of the Swiss Re Group which provides traditional and innovative insurance products to corporates across the Asia Pacific region.
Stanley’s Swiss Re career started off in the field of nat cat modelling which led to close interactions with property underwriting, which he then chose as a career direction. He has been involved with all areas of complex property risks and at different times has headed up the power and heavy industries industry practice, the mining industry practice and prior to moving to Singapore was Global Head of onshore energy and mining.
Before joining Swiss Re, Stanley worked as a consulting geotechnical engineer in Canada and Australia and is a chartered engineer in the UK.
