David Phipp is the Global Power Segment Leader within SCOR Business Solutions’ (SBS) and is based in London.
David Joined SCOR in 2014, taking the role of Senior Power Underwriter before becoming the Global Power Segment Leader in 2018 focusing on SCOR’s approach to this line of business across all of Scor’s Underwriting centers.
David started his Insurance career in 1989 with National Vulcan (RSA Engineering) where he specialised in Power Generation risks from a construction and operational standpoint.
Moving to the Mitsui Syndicate at Lloyds in 2001, he built up a book of Power and heavy process industry risks over a period of ten years before taking up an overseas posting in 2011 with Ace Overseas General (AOG) In Singapore.
David spent three years in Singapore developing AOG’s Power and Construction business across the whole of the Asia Pacific region mainly focusing on Power Generation and Civil Infrastructure projects.
In 2014, David returned to the London Market to concentrate on the operational power generation sector.
